It’s a fact. Western New York has a winter season. And if you’re not a skier or snowboarder, here’s what winter means…
- You curse the weather forecaster when they say the words, “Lake Effect Snow”
- You freeze your butt off scraping snow and getting into your car in the morning.
- All you know is shoveling and more shoveling.
- You’re constantly counting the days until spring.
But if you’re a skier or snowboarder?
- Lake Effect Snow means you’ll be getting the “Powder Flu” and spending the day on the slopes instead of the office.
- You cheer for cold temperatures so Holiday Valley can make more snow.
- You shovel just enough to get your car out of the driveway to head to the slopes.
- You wish that winter would last forever!
For all you yet-to-become-skiers-or-riders, mark Friday, January 3rd on your calendar.
